They don’t have food.  They don’t have electricity.  They certainly don’t have WiFi and Swenson’s.

Kids in the Central African Republic are in desperate, extreme poverty in ways that few of us ever have the courage to imagine.  And yet, through a life-changing compassion-hearted ministry called HAND IN HAND SCHOOLS, many of these kids are getting an opportunity to see their lives change.

To make new friends.

To learn how to read and write.

To eat a good meal at least once a day.

To hear the eternity-changing story of Jesus Christ.

To build friendships with adults and friends who love them and want them to have a hope and a future.

Here at the Ellet Campus, we are thrilled to partner with a church in Bossangoa – a remote village in the Central African Republic – to sponsor a Hand in Hand School for 40-50 orphaned Children in their community.  For an entire year of food, education, school supplies, and resources, a school costs only $4,000 for a church in the United States.  Like Grace Churches in Akron, Columbus, Indiana, North Carolina, and California – we have the incredible privilege or partnering with our African brothers and sisters to truly “change the story” of so many lives.

We are grateful for the teacher and leader of our school – JONAS – who has invested his life in helping the children of Bossangoa since 2007!  Pray for Jonas and for his church as they continue to teach and encourage and feed and serve the kids and families in their war-torn area of the C.A.R.
